On Wednesday 18th May, The Rotary Club of Beeston held a golf day at Beeston Fields, with over 140 golfers teeing off throughout the day. They all braved the dull, rainy weather and enjoyed a bacon or sausage cob at the halfway house on the 11th tee, alongside a coffee or tea.
Our golf professional’s, Antony Rider and Natalie Clarke, were awaiting each teams arrival ready for the “Beat the Pro” competition, with a chance to win 6 quality golf balls or the top prize of a £100 voucher for the pro shop!
Each team had the option to pay £5 per person to enter, and all proceeds went to the Rotary charities. £625 was raised and then matched by Barclays making the day a huge success! Congratulations to those that managed to “beat the pro” and bag themselves some golf balls!
The golf day on the course was then followed by a three course meal in The Walled Garden, along with a raffle.
The day has had a great amount of praises, including the course condition, which is looking incredible for this time of year. So many of those involved have mentioned how much they enjoyed the day as a whole. Take a look at the photos from the event below.
