Monday 20th June 2016 was the longest day of the year, and subsequently, Macmillan again took this opportunity to raise money for cancer care. Their "Longest Day Golf Challenge" was to take place on or around this date, and can be entered by anyone wanting to get involved in a group or four. The aim of the challenge was to play 72 holes in one day!
A team played Beeston Fields on this day, despite the rain and the course being closed. Beeston Fields want to congratulate them in raising over £1,100 for the charity.
I would like to thank Beeston Fields Golf Club for helping our team "The Beeston Eagles" raise over £1,100.00 in already collected donations, on 20th June 2016.
Particularly under the extreme weather conditions I am very grateful for the club allowing us to play on, even though the course was closed due to the rain.
I would also like to thank our Captain Pete Benson for turning up from work to support us, his appearance and support certainly gave us a boost.
Once again, thank you all for the support

After their challenge, the group took to the bar to enjoy a well-deserved drink! There's still time to make a donation if you haven't already:
