The Course is Open on full greens (updated 24 July at 09:08)

The Beeston Fields' Ryder Cup contest for 2016 between the Captain's and Professional's team was played in great true spirit with the Captain taking a 4 1/2 to 2 1/2 lead after the foursomes played on Friday evening.

Unfortunately, the British weather got the better of us on Saturday where the singles results would have come from comparing the medal scores together from individual players scores. There was torrential rain forcing the competition to be abandoned and therefore the singles matches to become void.

So, going into Sunday (four balls) the Captain's team narrowly beat the Professionals team with the overall final score:

Captain's Team - 10          Professional's Team - 9

Many thanks to all those that supported the event and a big thanks to John Sellers for organising it again.
