After what seems like a very long time, we are pleased to announce that the refurbishment is now completed. We are all extremely happy with the results and we are looking forward to the future in a much more modern atmosphere.
On Wednesday, we had a photographer come in to take some shots for our new brochure. Whilst we wait for those to showcase to you, here are some (less fancy) images of the new bar and restaurant.
The new door has replaced the old, very heavy double doors to make the entrance more appealing and accessible.
The new carpet in the foyer creates a lighter area and a more welcoming entrance.
The original oak panelling has been retained in both the cocktail bar and the dining room. The new carpet also runs through the dining room and makes for a much lighter/neutral area.
The brand new bar remains the same shape, but loses the large top half of the old bar to creating a more open modern design. Lights replaced the top section of the old bar, making it almost unrecognisable from what it used to be.
The club's history boards have been restored and moved to the Mitchell bar.
We'd love to hear your feedback on the refurbishment, email us your thoughts.
If you haven't yet been in since the new bar and restaurant has opened, pop in to see the dramatic changes. The Sunday carvery is also back weekly as of September and we have some great offers coming soon for that, so keep an eye out!
